Full Job Description
As the Boeing London Gatwick, the inspection functionality has been split out from the generic stores function and we are looking to establish a dedicated inspection team. The role of Goods Receiving Inspector in the wider Operational support team will be critical to deliver a compliant service to the Boeing London Gatwick Part-145 maintenance operation and the wider Boeing network and customers base. Position Responsibilities:
- Inspection & receipt of aircraft materials, tools and electronic software received from approved suppliers and repair agencies, in accordance with approved quality standards and EASA Part 145 requirements.
- Adhering to quality control systems for 3rd party component receipts using their warehouse & compliance management systems in accordance with their processes and procedures.
- Managing data accuracy of components including update of key airworthiness data such as measurement points and validating maintenance plans and modifications
- Issue authorised release certs and documentation for the release of parts and materials from approved sources and suppliers.
- Responsible for the monitoring of shelf life controls and procedural requirements in respect of aircraft, parts and related materials being accepted into Boeing MRO Gatwick for subsequent use on aircraft.
- Raise discrepancy reports and associated documentation resulting from the rejecting of receipted material for technical or quality deficiencies, including the creation for incident related parts.
- Attend off base sites and customer premises interfacing with engineering suppliers to carry out remote receipting function if required.
- Provide specialist knowledge as required to support any airworthiness issues and queries across the MRO site.
- Maintain compliance with mandatory training requirements and demonstrate development in accordance with capability assessments.
- Responsible for compliance with H&S, environment and quality legislation.
Capability to obtain required qualifications / approvals. - Must be able to work shifts and cope with a physically demanding workload.
- Good understanding of aircraft maintenance and manufacturer documentation.
- Understands aircraft engineering maintenance control and airworthiness control requirements.
- Able to obtain an Airside Pass and Airside driving permit.
- Sound understanding of the overall engineering operation and interdependencies of departments within.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements Part 145 MRO and legislation pertinent to the supply of aircraft tooling and ground equipment.
- Understands aircraft engineering maintenance control and airworthiness
- Must be able to work shifts and cope with a physically demanding workload.
- Very strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and manufacturer documentation. Additional Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of using AMOS system (desirable).
