Part Time Administrator - Farm

This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll play a key part in supporting the farm team. From welcoming new farm team members and guiding them through their induction to sorting out the essential paperwork, you'll help make sure everyone gets off to a great start. Each week, you'll keep timesheets accurate and up to date, organise and distribute PPE clothing & equipment to keep everyone safe, and carry out monthly checks on the on-site accommodation to keep everything shipshape.

You'll also be helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes-collating monthly vehicle and tractor inspection sheets, restocking and auditing first aid kits, and keeping training records in order to make sure we're always prepared and compliant. When training is needed, you'll be the one to arrange and coordinate it. Working closely with the Harvest Manager, you'll be the glue that holds everything together and keeps the farm thriving throughout the year.

Someone with hands-on with administrative experience, confidence using Excel and Word, and a full UK driving licence as you'll occasionally lend a hand with local tasks, such as popping out for supplies or supporting our seasonal farm team. You'll be a team player who's enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and an eye for improving how we work.

Salary: £13.48 per hour, paid weekly

Location - We are based 'off the beaten track' in the heart of the Devon countryside so, you'll need to ensure you have your own transport to get to and from the farm. Wash Barn Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon TQ11 0JU

The hours…This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 16 hours a week, based on-site on the farm. We're happy to flex these hours to suit your needs - whether that's working around school hours or spreading them over two or three days. Mondays are the only essential day we'll need you to commit to, and we're here to help create a balance that works for both you and the role.
