Actual Salary Range: £13,400 to £13,612 (Scale 3 point 5 - 6)
£24,790 to £25,183 FTE
Contract Type: 20 hours per week x 52 weeks per annum
Term Time:
Monday - Friday 5pm - 9pm
School holidays (shifts):
Daytime shift: 1pm - 5pm
Late shift: 3.30pm - 7.30pm
Contract Term: Permanent

We are looking for two Assistant Caretakers to join our friendly and supportive team. Granta School supports 180 students aged 3-19 with special educational needs. The school is purpose built with a range of excellent facilities, which we continue to grow and develop to meet the changing needs of our students.
You will support the Facilities Manager in keeping the school a safe and engaging environment for our students to learn in. This will involve carrying out routine health and safety checks, preventative maintenance routines, minor repairs, cleaning and porterage duties. Working closely with the Caretaker and Facilities Manager, you will help manage specialist contractors, supervising their work and providing access and support as required.
Previous experience of caretaking/maintenance and cleaning and is desirable but full training will be provided. You will be calm and flexible in the face of changing priorities and be able to remain focussed in a busy environment.
As a key holder, you will be responsible for securing the premises at the end of the day. You will be able to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and are able to work methodically to agreed procedures.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including the right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references
