Whether full-time or part-time, becoming a Residential Childcare Support Worker will see you perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team and acting as a trusted parental figure for looked-after children.

Your responsibilities include:

Building strong, positive relationships with children who have had difficult backgrounds and experiences
Supporting their educational and emotional development
Planning and co-ordinating engaging and fun activities
Ensuring a structured and safe home environment

To succeed as a Residential Childcare Support Worker, we're looking for candidates who are:

Dedicated to child safeguarding
Empathetic and effective communicators with a passion for working with children
Resilient and patient, capable of handling challenging behaviours
Proactive and creative in activity planning
Capable of practical 'life skills' including cooking, cleaning and good home management
Detail-oriented and competent users of IT, to ensure that every child's needs are met and documented in line with regulatory expectations and standards
Essential must haves

A valid UK driving licence, proximity to Ringwood, Ferndown and Bournemouth with a willingness to pursue relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner.

Pay rate: £11.55 per hour, increasing to £12.12 post-probation with relevant NVQ certification. Sleep-in rate at £55 per sleeping shift

Full and part-time hours: Contracts offered as 16 or 37 hours per week, plus overtime opportunities. There are 2-3 additional sleeping shifts per week for full-time workers.

Roster: 3 to 4 week rolling roster to include some weekends and Bank holidays

About Beaufort Care Group, Competitive Pay: Starting at £11.55 per hour, with potential to increase upon successful qualification, plus sleep-in and over-time rates
