Full Job Description

  • Motivate and inspire learners to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression
  • Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, following ACL safeguarding procedures
  • Address the needs of learners and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning
  • Enable learners to share responsibility for their own learning and assessment, setting goals that stretch and challenge
  • Apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment and provide constructive and timely feedback to support progression and achievement
  • Maintain and update your teaching / training expertise, vocational competence, and digital skills
  • Contribute to organisational development and quality improvement through collaboration with others
  • Maintaining all first aid equipment and ensuring compliance with awarding organisation

    Adult Community Learning are looking for an experienced First Aid Tutor and qualified IQA with a proven delivery record who can deliver accredited and non-accredited First Aid courses to a wide range of learners.
  • Our First Aid courses are focused on learning and developing practical skills so excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with learners is essential. Punctuality, reliability, commitment are also important as is undertaking all aspects of course administration to a high standard. We use a range of delivery models including classroom-based across Essex, online and hybrid to meet our offer of First Aid delivery and project work. Accredited and full-cost delivery courses for example, Emergency first aid at work and Paediatric first aid.,
  • Relevant first aid training qualification
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of first aid protocols and procedures and a commitment to continual CPD
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Desirable:
  • Minimum of Level 2 in English and maths
  • Competent user of digital technology including Teams and Office 365
  • Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore, the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
