Full Job Description
We wish to appoint a part-time French and Spanish Teacher at our popular co-ed school in the heart of Notting Hill.
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our highly-committed and passionate team. The successful candidate will teach classes from Reception to Year 8 (KS3 depending on candidate) and be a person of energy and focus. We are a school where ambitious, professional and committed teachers are well supported, and can learn quickly and advance their careers.
This is for a fixed term until the end of the summer term, 2025. There is potential for this post to become permanent from September 2025.
Notting Hill Prep is a 'Thinking School', a title which reflects its intelligent approach to education and its devotion to instilling in its children the values of resilience, creativity and responsibility, which it holds dear. We teach children not merely to learn, but to learn how to learn. The successful applicant will share the school's aspirations.
Good personal presentation, a friendly disposition and a willingness to participate in school life are considered important qualities for this position.
This role will involve contact with, and responsibility for, children and will amount to 'regulated activity'.
The role will be part-time in the first instance: 2/3 days per week (0.4/0.6).
The salary is generous and will depend on experience. We offer free school lunches.
Please click the 'Apply' button to submit your application form.
The closing date for completed applications is 9am on Monday 25th November 2024 although early applications are encouraged. Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date. Short listed candidates can expect to have an interview and to teach an observed lesson.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are 'spent' unless they are 'protected' under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
NHP is an equal opportunities employer.
The salary is generous and will depend on experience. We offer free school lunches.
