Falcon Support Services are a charity providing supported accommodation and community projects to those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness or vulnerable across Leicestershire. We are looking appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive fundraiser who can demonstrate a real passion for fundraising and who can make a tangible contribution to increasing the charity's funding position. You will be a good communicator who can lead on the charities external and internal communications., Fundraising is an integral focus of income generation for the charity and this post will be responsible for delivering the Fundraising Strategy for the charity. Communications is a key component of this role as the successful applicant will have the primary responsibility for delivering the charities' Communications Strategy including its social media profile, publications and the production of its promotional materials. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Communications · To develop and deliver the charities Communications Strategy · Represent the charity in a variety of settings including presentations and talks, exhibitions and events to inform potential supporters about the charity's vision, mission and work · To manage Falcon Support Services website and social media sites, preparing relevant content for publication · Maintain, update and develop the charities website · Maintaining an asset library, case studies and research/evidence to promote our work · Responding to enquiries through Falcon Support Services digital sites · Writes and distributes press releases to print, radio and television and respond to media enquiries. · To send quarterly update newsletters to all external stakeholders · To develop a quarterly internal company newsletter · Assist in the internal communications throughout the charity, including disseminating the charities objectives, minute taking, organising full team meetings, away days, conferences · Run Communications campaigns to raise awareness of homelessness and our services · Work closely with the team to encourage greater uptake of the digital platform, physical activity and workshop programmes to improve access and connection with vulnerable adults from harder-to-reach communities. · Establish and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships with regional and local press channels, as well as other communication agencies. · Update and support the creation of information and images on the website regularly. · Oversee marketing communications including promotional material and effective digital campaigns, and the weekly newsletter · To coordinate all aspects of print production, design, proofing and distribution of all publications, leaflets, brochures and publicity material. · Provide administrative support for all media, social media, website and press-related communications. · Provide administrative support for the activity and workshop programmes across the organisation, to promote, raise awareness and collect reporting data · Ensuring copyright, collating images and proofing for both print and digital promotional material. · Maintain and update a library of publications, reports, stories and promotional material to archive and showcase the organisational development and development of the digital platform. · Manage Google Analytics and social media reporting. Fundraising · To develop and deliver the charities Fundraising Strategy · Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets · Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, community outreach initiatives, and awareness campaigns. Manage event logistics such as registration, volunteer coordination, and on-site support. · Ensuring our events are marketed effectively within and beyond the community. · Plan and manage innovative Community fundraising events and activities · Prepare materials for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes/bid sheets/gift bags · Research and identify potential donors/corporate sponsorship to feed into the prospect pipeline · Develop and maintain a database of supporter, donors and potential funders. · You will be responsible for implementing a successful programme of fundraising from the corporate sector to an agreed annual target · To forge long-term mutually beneficial relationships with corporate supporters and raise funds towards the ongoing work of · Develop a stewardship journey for corporates and individual donors supporting the charity ensuring the smooth-running of communications and follow-ups with donors · Monitor progress and impact of fundraising drives · Coordinate, prepare and submit grant/trust applications for funding as agreed with the manager and in accordance with the charity's mission and strategic plan. · In the case of grant funding ensure that monitoring and evaluation processes are embedded across the organisation, ensuring that all grant conditions are met. To support Managers with project evaluation and the completion of end of project reports. · Contribute to the Fundraising Sub-Committee General · To develop team spirit and co-operative working across all teams, internal and external. · To undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post. · Perform administrative tasks related to communications and event planning, such as maintaining records, tracking metrics, and preparing reports.   • Demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications - Essential

  • Proven successful experience in corporate fundraising or a sales environment generating significant income - Desirable

  • Experience of using wide range of communication methods including web-based work including website maintenance, development and social media - Essential

    Hours: Part-time (30 hours per week) Tuesday - Friday, remote working is available on a Friday
