Full Job Description

Looking to recruit a Part time Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker for a woman who lives with an acquired brain injury. She is physically able to do all tasks, but the brain injury has affected her executive functioning making it difficult to put the things she wants to do into practice.,

  • Remind to take medication

  • Assist to manage & attend medical appointments

  • Meal planning, support with planning and batch cooking

  • Help to plan daily life/week

  • Support with managing paperwork, bills, budgeting and appointments.

  • Make phone calls

  • Fill in forms

  • General household chores and help to declutter

  • Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.


  • NOTE: These duties may vary from day to day.

    Hours of work:

    6 hours per week which will be used flexibly to meet the needs of the client. Normally 3 sessions per week of 2 hours, times tbc.

  • Some administrative experience would be ideal

  • Previous experience working in a social care setting with clients on a 1-1 basis

  • Knowledge of person-centred care

  • Experience of working in a way that promotes equality, diversity and inclusivity

  • The Support Worker will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the employer as there will be times when she may need to cancel support at short notice but arrangements will be made for short notice cancellation.
