Part time Prescribing Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a part time Prescribing Nurse Practitioner to join our team at St Andrews Surgery, working 2-3 days per week. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work alongside both our GPs and nursing team, contributing to the delivery of urgent care to our patients. We welcome candidates who have an interest in managing chronic diseases such as Asthma or Diabetes, delivering patient care as necessary and referring to secondary care as required. • Provide urgent care services in collaboration with GPs and nurses.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Provide advanced, specialist nursing care to patients as required, following clinical evidence, NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, and the National Service Framework (NSF).
• Provide chronic disease clinics in Asthma or Diabetes, delivering patient care as necessary, and refer patients to secondary/specialist care as required. This is desired, but not essential to the role.
• Request pathology services as necessary.
• Process and interpret pathology and other test results as required.
• Ensure care is delivered in line with QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) expectations
