Full Job Description

Please note: this is a part-time, hybrid position. The position is 20 hours per week Monday - Friday, however flexibility can be discussed. Summary of role:

  • To provide general support to the Purchasing and Procurement teams and CVS practices
  • Undertake and maintain effective administration processes, protocols and procedures in line with CVS requirements
  • To carry out all other reasonable duties as required by purchasing department in a professional manner, Answering and responding to phone calls and fulfilling request/queries
  • Assisting with the MiPet product enquiries
  • Responding to Products and Procurement emails in a timely manner
  • Process book orders for practices
  • Processing of approved unique product orders for practices
  • Advising on Dedicated & Preferred products
  • Management and Administration of the Q-Pulse Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Management of some purchasing data reports
  • Purchasing credit card submission
  • Formatting and filing quality assurance documents
  • Organising and booking team events
  • Responsible for collating and sending information from purchasing to marketing for weekly bulletin
  • Doing basic data entry and analysis work
  • Taking responsibility to update the purchasing folder on PULSE
  • Process manual orders both externally and internally

    Computer skills including Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint with a basic understanding of numeracy
  • Good retention of knowledge in particular for medical terminology and products (not essential)
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to multi task
  • Excellent administration skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication to internal and external customers, at ease at presenting in front of people
  • Be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Have a hands on approach and be flexible
