Full Job Description

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We're growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We're now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an exceptional, proactive, passionate and driven individual who's ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build new partnerships with brands and race providers both domestically and internationally. This position will sit within the UK based partnerships team, and will contribute to maintaining and building out Runna's existing partnership offering, as well as identifying and securing new opportunities. This includes brands, race providers and registration platforms.

If you're at the start of your career hungry to get stuck in or have a proven track record building relationships and delivering an exceptional standard with partners, we want to hear from you!

As a Partnerships Associate / Manager, your role will include:
1. Maintaining and developing Runna's existing partnership offering (50%):

1. Working closely with our Partnerships Lead to support existing partners, in turn ensuring our users receive the best experience possible. This will include working alongside existing partners to improve and/or create new strategies for races, events and runner engagement - in the build-up and execution.

Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities (40%):
1. Work with the Partnerships team to identify and discover new exciting opportunities both in the UK and overseas. The process spans from sourcing all the way through to implementation and integration (where relevant) and owning the partnership end to end.

Helping the wider Runna team (10%):
1. As noted, we are still a small team so from time to time, you will be required to get involved and contribute to other areas of the business. This typically involves assisting at events or brand activations, collaborating with ambassadors, supporting marketing initiatives and occasionally working with the software and product teams to help develop new features in the app.

Where this role could take you:

The Partnerships Associate / Manager role is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is entry-level or has proven experience. It offers the chance to learn how partnerships contribute to the growth of a company as well as enhancing the overall offering. The role will provide you with the knowledge and skillset which will enable your career to evolve in multiple directions across the business side of our organisation. Join us and be part of a passionate team dedicated to empowering runners everywhere.

If you don't quite meet all of the below skills, we'd still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you. You can apply directly below or contact us if you're still unsure.

A degree isn't required for this role, but if you don't have a degree, we do want to see some experience for this role such as personal projects, internships, or other work experience.
About you:

  • You have either just graduated with a strong passion to build your career within a partnerships team or 1-2 years experience managing Partnerships (bonus points if you've worked in the fitness industry!). Proven ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with our partners and internal stakeholders

  • You're a "doer"; not just a "thinker". You're hands-on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real 'go get it' attitude).

  • You're organised, efficient and can execute at pace. You can manage lots of spinning plates and prioritise effectively.

  • You care about the small things and have high attention to detail.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • You're a fast learner, see feedback as a gift and constantly think about how you can improve.

  • You're fun, personable and love running!

  • You're London-based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)

We offer a salary of £31,500-£45,000 ( (depending on experience), plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.

  • We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
  • Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days in our office in Vauxhall)

  • Salary reviews every 6 months or whenever we raise more investment

  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays

  • A workplace pension scheme

  • A brand new Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else you need to do your best work

  • Private health insurance

  • Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave when a new Runna joins the family, fertility support & other benefits)

  • An hour slot each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout
