Full Job Description

As Partnership manager you will:

  • be responsible for account managing the BBC's distribution partnerships.
  • develop and implement the BBC's strategic approach to the distribution of our products and services
  • be a role model for collaboration, inclusion and productivity
  • In D&BD, we manage and plan the distribution of the BBC's services on new and emerging digital platforms, working at the intersection of media, technology, business and strategy, providing an extraordinary environment to learn and develop your career. We ensure that the BBC's public services are innovative, prominent and available to all, now and in the future. The Carriage team manages the relationships with organisations that wish to make the BBC's products and services (e.g. BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds) available on their devices and platforms when they are released into the UK market. We work with global technology companies (e.g. Google, Apple, Amazon) as well as pay TV platforms (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT), TV manufacturers (e.g. LG, Samsung, Sony), audio streamers (e.g. Spotify, Deezer, TuneIn), and many more to ensure the UK audience can access the BBC effectively, the BBC can remain relevant, and our partners enjoy the full value of the organisations world class products and services.

  • A track record of successfully negotiating and closing supplier/customer deals, ideally in distribution
  • Demonstrable experience with contracting and working with legal teams to execute agreements
  • A deep understanding of the media product environment, including testing and certification
  • The ability to drive value by assessing return on investment of each deal and between deal, NEGOTIATING - Identifying and securing the best deal, whoever the partner and whatever the market.
  • STRATEGY - Developing and delivering successful approaches to the evolving challenges facing media.
  • MEDIA - Working across linear TV, OTT products and services, and emerging platforms such as voice and connected cars.
  • You will also need to demonstrate the following:

    Salary: £50,000 to £60,000pa, plus London Weighting (£5,319pa), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. We're happy to discuss flexible working.
