Full Job Description

The Partnerships Industrial Placement will provide the right candidate with the opportunity for hands-on experience of sports sponsorship coordination and delivery for a leading team in one of the largest global sports. We are looking for a passionate, capable, and proactive individual to join our Partnerships team to support the creation, planning, delivery of marketing activations to our Partners, as well as the tracking and reporting of sponsorship entitlements which the team deliver to our Partner and Supplier brands. At Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team we strive for best-in-class delivery across all Marketing functions, the successful candidate will work collaboratively across the Marketing Operations Department as well as with our Partners and their associated agencies., Under the supervision a member of the Partnerships team, the successful candidate will assist in the efficient planning and delivery of contractual rights within our Partnership agreements, as well as helping in the smooth functioning of the Partnerships team. Tasks will include:

  • Attend internal and Partner meetings to understand Partnership background, objectives and KPI's
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documents and systems to track and report outcomes
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of Partners activation - these including driver and management appearances, events, hospitality and experiential activities, which can take place at the factory, off-site and trackside
  • Assist in the research and creation of internal reports relating to marketing activation within sport, our Partners and their respective industries
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of key documents that are utilised by the Partnerships team and Partners throughout the year
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of Partnership events which are aimed at all of the teams Partners during the year
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of team activities, collating and incorporating Partner requirements
  • Assist in the collation and shipping of equipment used by the Partnerships team at races and events throughout the year, sourcing, tracking and replacing items where necessary
  • Assist in the sourcing of imagery, data and information to aid the creation of reports for sharing with Partners

    Organised with an acute attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in sports marketing with a history that shows an education or extra curricular activities that align with the experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work in a fast-paced, busy office environment
  • Ability to work at all levels within an organisation and balance strategic administrative roles with a practical hands-on work
  • Ability to build good internal and external relationships
  • A team player with a positive approach
  • A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • As a minimum, the successful candidate must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies, and must have at least one year of academic studies left (undergraduate or postgraduate) at the time of taking up your placement with us in July 2025
  • Desirable:

  • Sponsorship, Marketing and/or Events experience
