Full Job Description
The Parts Advisor is responsible for smooth and efficient running front and rear parts counters and controlling stock movements. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00-18:00 and alternate Saturdays 8:00-12:00 What does the role involve?
- Run front and back Service Counters
- Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and workshop on time
- Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc
- Build and develop customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service
- Work together with the workshop and other departments
- Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
- Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any issues
- Inventory management
- Department housekeeping
- Parts ordering
- Communicate with customers and suppliers
- Promote parts to customers to increase sales
- Inform customers of any promotions that are running to help increase sales.
- Control VOR/freight charge costs
- Chase supplier credits
- Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
Experience in a similar role, within a main dealer - Computer literacy and a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of Scania parts and systems
- Current driving licence
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solution-driven approach
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach
- Fork-lift truck licence
