Full Job Description

Join us in making a positive difference in our community! As a Passenger Assistant, you'll help transport children and adults safely to schools and day centres. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and flexible individuals who are calm under pressure with good communication and people skills concerning our passengers. You will work as part of a team with the Driver and assist with moving passengers so a moderate level of physical fitness is required. Some of our passengers may have an enhanced care requirement, for which you'll be responsible for ensuring their comfort and safety. A key task in these roles is to physically assist passengers as necessary to and from the vehicle and help them on and off the vehicle by means of a step or the vehicle lift according to their level of need. The role involves traveling on a vehicle on a split shift to safely transport passengers to their destination which will likely include mornings and afternoons. Due to the nature of the work a criminal record check via the DBS disclosure service will also be required
