Durham County Council have an exciting opportunity for the role of Passenger Lift Engineer within the Building and Facilities Maintenance Service, Repairs and Maintenance Team., The successful candidate will become part of a highly motivated team, committed to the ongoing success of the Repairs and Maintenance Service. You will install, repair, maintain and service vertical and passenger lifts, stairlifts, hoists and lifting equipment; ensuring that the performance targets set for all of your 'Divisions' are achieved and that all required lift services are carried out in a timely manner., We are a proud equal opportunities employer and recognise that a diverse, talented workforce brings new ideas and new perspectives, which will facilitate growth and improvements to services.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering Maintenance (Lift Servicing)

Experience of customer relationship management, of fault finding, problem solving and of following work instructions, policies and procedures is essential.

You must have the ability to successfully manage own workload, possess customer care skills and achievement of customer satisfaction along with good communication skills.

If successful, you will be required to undertake and pass an in-house driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed and you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

Salary: Tradesman Rate £38,070 p.a.
(Made up of basic salary at £23,500 p.a. plus 50% Interim Operational Allowance at £11,750 p.a. plus 12% Additional Allowance at £2,820 p.a. and potential other allowances)
