Full Job Description
- To manage the pastoral team to ensure it addresses the needs of the pupils.
- To be responsible for attendance/truancy.
- To lead and co-ordinate the process of pupil reintegration across the school.
- To be responsible for all admissions to school.
- To monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the pastoral provision and pupil attendance.
We are looking for someone who is able to promote positive values, attitudes, good pupil behaviour and are able to manage challenging behaviour, conflicts and incidents whilst encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour and promoting self-control.
The successful applicant will be able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents and will work alongside a welcoming and dedicated staff team.
We are seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified, experienced, self-motivated Pastoral Co-ordinator to join our team. If you are passionate about improving the life chances or our vulnerable young people then please apply for this position. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge that is necessary to enhance the engagement with pupils and their families specifically around school attendance. They will also have a broad understanding and knowledge of the barriers faced by pupils preventing them reaching their full potential.
