Pastoral Lead - Intervention, Attendance and Welfare

Salary £32,925 (pro rata fte £34,770)

Scale 6 Point 18

37.5 hours per week (30 mins lunch break)

Monday to Friday

Term time only including Inset Days + 1 week (40 weeks per annum)

Required as soon as possible

We are seeking a talented individual to work as a key member of the safeguarding team. The post holder will play a major part in supporting the delivery of our targeted programme of interventions to positively impact attendance and wellbeing amongst pupils. This work will involve liaising with external partners including Future Men, Big Kid, Wandsworth Mediation Team and many more. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide excellent pastoral care to all pupils to improve the learning and behaviour of all pupils at St John Bosco College. This is a non-teaching role.

As the Pastoral Lead - Intervention, Attendance and Welfare you will:

· Co-ordinate with external agencies to assist in the administration and implementation of individual and group interventions

· Develop a positive relationship with parents and pupils

· Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of attendance data

· Be responsible for the administration of late marks and organise the detention routine

· Provide specialist safeguarding support

· Implement the whole school behaviour policy

· Work with colleagues across the school to support pupil welfare

· Show commitment to ensuring that all students in the school are supported to achieve their full potential

· be fully supportive of the school's Roman Catholic ethos and able to contribute to the wider life of the school.
