Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized person who can drive improvement to our processes and procedures. You will need:

  • to ensure the academy's Safeguarding and Child Protection policies are known, understood and used appropriately in accordance with the legislative framework and local procedures.
  • to promote positive attitudes by pupils and families towards education and work with them in order that pupils may benefit fully from the opportunities available to them
  • to support the Designated Safeguarding Team and wider pastoral team in their management of pupil incidents and family liaison
  • support the maintenance of good discipline, safeguarding and PSHE in school as part of the team
  • to maintain high standards in all areas of work
  • to support the ethos, aims and objectives of the school
  • The successful candidate will be:
  • highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • able to liaise with families including home visits and attending meetings, making telephone calls reporting back to the Designated Safeguarding team
  • able to maintain accurate pupil records, including pupil safeguarding files and ensure records provided by other members of staff are of a high standard
  • confident to working with group of pupils and parents delivering and reviewing interventions to reduce barriers to learning
  • confident in undertaking administrative tasks relating to the monitoring of attendance for vulnerable students
