Pastoral Support Assistant

As the Pastoral Support assistant, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the reflection room. When students are referred to this space the post holder would check the referral process has been followed correctly and supervise students with the support of the Key Stage Hub Pastoral Managers. Students will complete their lessons within the reflection room and the post holder will liaise with teachers to ensure suitable work has been provided and is completed in a calm and productive manor.

As a key member of the pastoral support team the post holder would work closely with the hub managers in the KS3, KS4 and KS5 offices. Part of this role would involve supporting the hub managers when there are no students in the reflection room and covering for absence as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to foster effective professional working relationships with students, teachers and external bodies alike. Outstanding administrative, planning and organisational skills are essential to this post as is the ability to demonstrate a high standard of confidentiality, presentation and attention to detail.
