Villiers High School is looking to appoint a professional, self-motivated, pro-active and organised Pastoral Support Officer to work in a busy but rewarding pastoral environment. The successful candidate will provide mentoring and support to pupils, work closely as part of the behavior team and provide support to the Heads of Year. Excellent IT skills and strong communication skills are essential for this role. Experience in a busy environment is highly desirable. Candidates must have the ability to undertake complex tasks and will receive training as required for the post. In this role, the successful candidate will undertake various pastoral duties. The successful candidate will need to:

  • Be methodical, pro-active and have a keen eye for detail
  • Be able to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines

  • · Staff are able to take one wellbeing day per term to spend as they wish on their wellbeing beyond the teachers' terms and conditions as agreed by the London Borough of Ealing. · On Thursdays staff finish teaching early so they can meet and plan collaboratively with their departments and pastoral teams. Staff professional learning also takes place on this day as do other after school meetings and events such as parents evenings so that staff only ever have to plan child-care or a late finish one night of the week in the main.
