Full Job Description

As a Pastry Chef you will be responsible for the operation of the entire Pastry station, preparing items for Restaurant and Events that have request specific pastry requirements , Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in ensuring the correct preparation of pastry.
  • Making pastry and desserts for the Restaurant, Function Rooms and Room Service.
  • Ensuring standards of performance in order to maximise food sales.
  • Supporting the team in other areas of the kitchen.
  • Ensuring that health and safety procedures are implemented at all times and to comply with hygiene regulations.
  • Helping design menus, ordering and assisting with the development of staff within the team.

    You must be able to lead by example, have excellent attention to detail, be self-motivated and be a team player. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential. You should be used to working in a mixed corporate and leisure environment where you had undertaken kitchen management duties including working within hygiene regulations would be well suited to this position.
  • On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Pastry Chef. With this in mind, we are looking for a Pastry Chef who:
  • Can deliver excellent standards
  • Is self-aware and able to evaluate their own work
  • Has a customer service attitude
  • Has the ability to multi-task and provides excellent attention to detail
  • At least NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation/Pastry equivalent.
  • Previous 4 or 5 star hotel experience or worked within a high quality Restaurant with Rosette experience.
