Pastry Chef (Ref 195)

We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in St Albans for a Pastry Chef to join the team at Accent working 40 hours per
week Monday to Friday, term time only.

You will also have flexibility to do overtime when assisting in hospitality events in the evenings and weekends.

The food offer is fresh food cooked from scratch so excellent culinary skills are required with a passion for giving children the
best possible lunch experience possible.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with the following skills:-

• An absolute foodie with a chef background, with good all-round knowledge of all aspects of a pastry department


• Experience of making desserts


• Exceptional standards in all aspects of food and service, attention to detail is vital


• Proven ability to manage a team, full responsibility for all staff recruitment/ management/ performance and all that managing a

team entails

• Proven track record in a high volume, quality catering establishment


• Innovative person with a positive out going disposition and a can do approach


• Financially astute and able to manage a budget


• Proven track record of continually improving standards and achieving targets is essential


The ideal candidate has excellent food standards with an eye to detail, proving food for breakfast / lunch / supper service,
Independent school experience desired.
