Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for training and development to join the CTM Pathology Team as Clinical Training Manager. This rewarding role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and lead on Pathology training and education strategy, whilst promoting a positive learning culture within Pathology.
The post holder will work closely with the Pathology Leadership Team, Quality Team and Training Leads across all Pathology Disciplines, to ensure the effective development and implementation of all aspects of training. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to communicate with a wide array of staff, playing a key role in ensuring a knowledgeable and competent workforce, that is compliant with regulatory and accreditation bodies, and the requirements of the Institute of Biomedical Science.
The post holder will be a professionally registered Biomedical Scientist, with the skills, knowledge and experience to support the career development of Pathology staff, whilst engaging in workforce modernisation initiatives that are central to the continued delivery of an effective and patient focused Pathology service., The post holder will represent CTMUHB at national training meetings, and will be required to interpret national and organisational policies to ensure effective implementation. They will provide expert advice on matters relating to Pathology workforce, training and education, driving workforce competency within departments, including statutory and mandatory training.
The post holder will support staff participation in level 3 to level 7 qualifications, and prepare business cases and applications to secure funding for provision of staff training and development. They will also plan and organise work experience opportunities and promote pathology careers at job fairs and open days.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
