Full Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced band 6 or existing band 7 to join us as a Pathology Education Facilitator for Blood Sciences at North West London Pathology., This is an exciting and varied role to deliver key programmes of work as part of NWLP's workforce strategy.

The post holder will be expected to support and deliver:o specialist scientist training across Blood Scienceso on the job competency training for their area of focuso Support wider training programmes as part of the Training Academy, with a particular focus on training within Blood Sciences disciplines.

The post-holder will be expected to design, manage and facilitate delivery of training within their area of focus and enable delivery and improvements in a NWLP wide specialist training programme as well as ongoing review, design and co-ordination of on the bench training. The role will support content development for practical skills, workshops and e-learning.

The role will co-ordinate programme delivery to improve trainee and laboratory experiences, retention and standards of work.

The post holder will work in a flexible manner applying initiative and drive to deliver training programmes, communicate progress and activities linked to the Training Academy in collaboration with colleagues.

You must be highly motivated and enthusiastic to maintain and develop the excellent work undertaken within Training and Development for the present and future workforce at North West London Pathology.

You will need to possess an MSc or equivalent and demonstrate post HCPC specialist level training in a discipline related to Blood Sciences. You will have an interest in developing people, excellent technical, interpersonal and IT skills with an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

You will be required to have detailed knowledge of training across pathology, regulatory standards governing laboratory training and provide professional lead in the delivery and management of relevant training programmes. The post holder will be based at St Mary's hospital with some travel across NWLP sites required.
