Full Job Description

This post is an opportunity for individuals who are looking for personal development and those who relish a challenge, keen to learn new skills within a busy complex environment, whilst working within multi-skilled teams. A flexible working approach is essential as the Patient Admin Services Team provides 24/7 services. Applicants must therefore be flexible to cover shifts and bank holidays, including Christmas day.

This post is part-time, working fixed shifts 17:00 - 22:00 as below:

Week 1: Tuesday; Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Monday; Wednesday and Friday, This post will predominantly be based in the Emergency Department, providing reception duties outlined in the job description. You will be the first person the patient/guardians meet in the Emergency Department so you must be approachable at all times and therefore remain professional working under pressure. The main duty will be to accurately register the patients on the patient administration systems as they arrive. You will also be providing an administrative and clerical service for Emergency Department services (ensuring accurate patient information is collected for patient activity) and health records areas within Patient Admin Services.

You must enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team, committed to working in a team driven environment and have the ability to relate to children, parents and members of the public, with an enthusiastic and conscientious approach, complemented by excellent organizational and communication skills and able to work under pressure.

Applicants must also be willing and available to work outside of their shift pattern initially for training purposes.
