Full Job Description

  • Work alongside veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses to provide vital care to patients

  • Record and update information on patient records

  • Clean, prepare and maintain patient accommodation

  • Exercise, feed, and groom patients

  • Handle and restrain patients for treatment

  • Assist with preparing patients for procedures - clipping - removing food and water where required

  • Administer topical and oral medication and administer subcutaneous injections

  • Prepare theatre - cleaning and damp dusting - cleaning, packaging, and sterilising instruments - preparing materials, instruments, and equipment

    Previous experience in working and/or caring for animals in a Veterinary industry.

  • Animal-related qualification or equivalent (Desirable)

  • Flexibility to support all four of our practices as required

    Park Vet Group has grown from a one branch practice, to having a dedicated farm practice, four pet surgeries spread across Leicestershire, a referral service and a dedicated emergency service open 24/7.

    Hours: 38.5 hours a week, Shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
