Full Job Description

This post is restricted to current employees of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and Cornwall Foundation Trust.

You will report to the Patient Engagement & Feedback Manager but you will work to support the remit of the whole Patient and Family Experience Team which includes Complaints. As well assupport and project manage the objectives and priorities for patients, ensuring that the views of under-represented groups are included in decision making processes and practices through our Patient Leader Programme.

The post-holder will also be supported by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team for staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to delivering the Trust's wider diversity, equality and inclusion strategy., This role sits within the Patient and Family Experience Team, reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Nursing Officer.

You will be a creative and dynamic individual, who likes rising to challenges but is able to think calmly and rationally under pressure with the ability to use your own initiative, making reasoned decisions and escalating issues appropriately. You will have well developed IT skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and various social media platforms, and be comfortable and competent using and understanding different technical systems.

You will be innovative, and a confident and clear communicator with good negotiation and customer service skills., Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to handle complex, sensitive or contentious information and issues.

Knowledge and an understanding of the Trust and NHS policies and procedures including NHS Constitution, Data Protection, Information Governance.

Skills in analysing and interpreting complex quantitative and qualitative information, and the ability to identify trends and themes and present data in an accessible, attractive format to various audiences.

Well-developed IT skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel, PowerPoint) and various social media platforms.

Flexible and able to deal calmly and sensitively with conflicting deadlines, urgent situations and sometimes sensitive and upsetting issues

Experience and awareness of organisational EDI considerations and standards, preferably with knowledge of NHS obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duties.

Knowledge and experience of designing data collection systems, and analysis and reporting of data.
