Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health Service (NISHH) for a Patient Notifications Administratorwithin thecountywide coding and results team (CaRT).NISHH undertake thousands of pathology tests annually as part of the service provided to the residents of Northamptonshire and out of area in relation to their sexual health needs. The Coding and Results Team (CaRT) play a vital role in results management and partner notification for the service by providing both negative and positive results to our service users in a timely manner and ensuring all clinical and activity coding is recorded correctly., The role will involve result inputting and notification, arranging treatment appointments, discussing sexual histories, checking clinical and activity coding, liaising with pathology when necessary and liaising with the medical team with any result abnormalities, and administrative duties to include the putting together of test kits. The post holder will work closely with the countywide Coding and Results Team lead, the senior nurse, lead administrator and Outreach Team lead.

The successful candidate for this post should be an enthusiastic, committed team member, a good communicator and a non-judgmental, discreet individual. Ability to work well under pressure while prioritising competing demands are essential for the role, as well as an understanding of confidentiality within a sexual health service context. Previous NHS experience is desirable alongside knowledge of the services patient electronic record system; Lilie.
