Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Respiratory department. This is a busy department dealing with general respiratory day to day activities, diagnostics, 2ww and other specialist areas of respiratory medicine for the local population. The role will focus on supporting a positive patient experience within the services with a key emphasis on communication and organisation skills. The post holder will focus on patient pathway tracking and validation to achieve RTT standards. The post holder will work closely with the service team and receive support and training as required to fulfil the role.,

  • To be responsible for providing administrative support to Clinical teams, including dealing with phone and email queries, co-ordinating the booking of clinics, admitting day cases and other miscellaneous administrative duties.
  • To ensure that every patient pathway is tracked, and every patient diagnosed and treated as quickly as possible within relevant RTT standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of patient tracking and escalations on the Trust database.
  • To support the Service Management team and clinical team to ensure all administrative process are delivered including data and evidence collection for relevant national audits.
