Full Job Description

The role will provide comprehensive administrative support to Clinical Admin Team 4 together with the Gastroenterology & Endoscopy department and Clinicians. You will support the CAT in the delivery of a patient-focused service, and be responsible for the processing of general admin duties, answering the telephones to patients, other healthcare providers and internal staff, scheduling of appointments, processing of clinic letters and other administrative duties.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organized individual to provide specialist admin support to the Vascular and General Surgery team. You will need to be confident working within a team in a fast-paced environment and have good IT skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly and accurately under pressure. You will be responsible and accountable for consistently and accurately carrying out your duties as well as the provision of a high quality and efficient service, providing this in a confident and courteous way to service users., This post benefits from previous experience of delivering high levels of customer/patient service, working within an administrative environment, preferable experience within the NHS but this is not essential, using multiple computer systems and managing data (electronic and paper based). Knowledge of the 18 week pathway would also be beneficial. Full compliance with local procedures, deadlines and best practice will be a key part of the role.,

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C, Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
