An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time and part-time Patient Pathway Navigator in Gastroenterology within our Specialist Medicine - Clinical Administration Unit at Maidstone Hospital to support with Insourcing of Elective UK., The role of the Patient Pathway Coordinator is to work closely with clinicians and the Directorate Management Team to ensure that the care pathway of all patients is effectively managed. The post holder will be required to act as a flexible administrative resource as part of a team to actively manage the pathways patients within the Medicine Directorate.

You will have exceptional administrative skills and experience in all areas of Microsoft packages. Typing is an essential skill, as well as demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills.

Knowledge of NHS systems, including PAS, Sunrise and ERS would be beneficial. The understanding of RTT and navigating patients pathways would also be advantageous. Good communication skills is essential, as communication with NHS staff at all levels will be a daily task in this role.We are a very supporting unit, where being a team player is essential, as well as being self-motivated, able to prioritise a busy workload, work to deadlines, and have a flexible approach to duties., You should be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.
