30 Hours per week, Mon - Fri working 6 hours per day
The Patient Services Clerk has a varied role which spans a number of different work areas. The tasks below describe the type of duties appropriate for the role, however, depending on where the post holder is placed, not all of the tasks may be carried out and there may be additional duties specific to that work area expected and within the remit of the role.
To provide professional, friendly and effective administration support for outpatient clinics by ensuring all clinics are booked appropriately and all patients are ready to be seen. Undertaking review of patient records and ensuring all results are present ready for the patient's next appointment., The Administrative Services Department is offering an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team as a Patient Services Clerk
As a Patient Services Clerk within the Admin Services Team you will play a key role in ensuring clinicians have the relevant information available to them when patients attend our hospitals for consultations.

Our work is complex, interesting, specialised and driven by tight deadlines. As such, it is essential that you have good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
A comprehensive induction programme provides new staff with the basic framework they need to undertake their role but is essential that you have previous office experience ideally in an NHS environment.
You will have a good standard of education including English and Maths, excellent computer skills and experience of competently handling telephone and face to face enquiries.
