Full Job Description
Watlington Medical Centre located in Kings Lynn, is seeking a part-time patient support team leader to work 18 hours per week. The days required for this post are Wednesdays and Fridays, 8am -6pm with an hour lunch break.,
- Making appointments for patients via telephone requests or in person at the desk.
- Meeting and greeting patients upon arrival at the surgery, and check in if appropriate.
- Dealing with patients requests for information relating to the practice and dealing with payments etc. for medical examinations.
- Responding to patient enquiries regarding test results.
- Operating the telephone system, answer machine, fax machine and clinical systems.
- Maintaining patient demographic information as and when needed, including registering new patients.
- Processing GP referral letters.
- Maintaining certain patient registers for QOF and GP meetings.
- Processing new patient registration documents including initial set up of SystmOnline.
- Collating DRUM information and enter onto clinical system Provide cover to maintain staffing levels for sickness cover.
- Opening post daily, date stamp and distribute accordingly.
- Taking receipt of new notes from HA and enter onto clinical system, including scanning and coding summary reports when relevant.
- Maintaining tidiness of reception, waiting room area and consulting rooms.
General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
