Full Job Description

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to manage our Accounts Payable team. The AP team are responsible for processing all invoices and payments for the authority in line with our No PO No Pay Policy. As manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the team as well as focusing on process and system improvements to support payment performance. You will also support in data provision to the authority in terms of maintaining accuracy of data in the systems, and extracting and analysing data to information corporate decision-making.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with previous experience of managing staff and knowledge of key legislation that impacts payments to suppliers. As manager of the team, you will need the ability to manage change, leading and motivating others to implement process and system changes. Excellent customer service skills are essential to this role as you will need to communicate with internal colleagues, customers, and external partner agencies on a frequent basis.

The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and possess a flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands.
