Full Job Description

One Ashford Hospital, part of the Phoenix Hospital Group, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our friendly team at our Ashford hospital.

HOURS: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, flexible shifts between 8am and 5pm.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide outstanding customer service by delivering and supporting colleagues to deliver expert payroll administration and advice in a timely and effective manner, whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity., The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for all employees, managing payroll queries and resolving any issues promptly. You will maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, as well as assisting with payroll reporting and audits as needed. Collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations is essential, along with staying updated on payroll legislation and best practices.

o GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
o CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) desirable

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

o A Self Starter with great attention to detail. Must be a team player with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
o Proven experience of working in payroll administration
o Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
o Confident and competent Excel user, comfortable with VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
o Strong working knowledge of payroll processes and legislation with excellent organisational skills
o Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, confidence to confer with CFO and CEO on a regular basis.

DESIRABLES

o Private healthcare experience
o CIPP qualification or equivalent
