Full Job Description
We're seeking a talented individual to join our Payroll team in London, to support the Payroll Manager in maintaining the company's payroll and pension schemes. You will be the subject matter expert in payroll processing and NetSuite Payroll - Responsible for start to end monthly payroll processing in NetSuite, implementing all aspects of payroll processing and creating any new reporting or searches within NetSuite for payroll and other departments. As Payroll Administrator, your responsibilities will include among others:
- Ensuring complex payroll queries are assigned in areas of expertise and responded to effectively in a timely manner
- Ensuring information received from HR Services/Rewards/external bodies is entered correctly onto the payroll system and all paperwork is properly authorised, in line with company policy
- To calculate SMP, SPP, SSP and ShPP or SAP entitlements where necessary
- Providing support and assistance to the Payroll Administrator ensuring payroll is HMRC compliant, and liaise closely with Company pension scheme administrators and complete monthly uploads
- Creating new pay elements as required and ensure set up is accurate, produce payroll reports, assist in preparation of payroll journal for posting to finance, and produce monthly payslips and annual P60 documents for all employees
- To assist in the monthly payroll reconciliations ensuring all changes are correctly authorised and implemented
Relevant experience in a busy payroll and/or accounts environment - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a thorough knowledge of Word & Excel essential
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, plan work activities and use time efficiently
- IT literate and numerate with the ability to analyse and work with large volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to meet the expectation of clients and suppliers through a sound understanding of their requirements, being responsive to their needs and exceeding their requirements
- Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Desired:
- Educated to A level with a minimum of grade B in GCSE Mathematics
- NetSuite Payroll experience desirable but not essential
- Relevant payroll or accounting qualification(s) desirable but not essential
