Full Job Description

We're recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator who is friendly, adaptable and can deliver Payroll administrative support for Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. You'll be responsible for ensuring our offices run smoothly and efficiently and will be given every opportunity to progress within a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.,

  • Process payroll accurately for various staff categories on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules.
  • Manage overtime, holiday pay, and leave balances while ensuring compliance with time-tracking policies.
  • Maintain and update HR records for hires, promotions, and salary changes.
  • Stay informed on labor law updates and ensure adherence to work time and overtime regulations.
  • Address employee inquiries, resolve payroll discrepancies, and provide prompt support.
  • Conduct regular audits for data accuracy and system performance.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams.

    Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within catering, hospitality, or events.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks) and Excel, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Essential
  • Strong office administration skills and excellent personal presentation.
  • GCSE/O'Levels including: Maths & English (or equivalent)
  • Flexible with working hours and able to work independently.
