Full Job Description
Assisting in the delivery of a first-class payroll service to our Nandocas including but not limited to:
- End-to-end running of our largest payroll, for weekly paid Nandocas based on T&A data
- Compliance with HMRC requirements, including NMW and RTI Reporting
- Calculation of statutory payments and pay schedules including SSP, SMP and ShPP
- Pension auto-enrolment processing and payments
- Creation of BACS payments to employees and third parties (i.e.: courts or pension provider)
- Guarantee accuracy in payroll data, conduct reconciliations and solve discrepancies whilst maintaining discretion of employee information
- Financial period-end reporting, including posting of journals and balance sheet reconciliation
- Maintaining close working relationships with cross-functional teams (particularly the People Support and Reward teams)
- Providing fantastic customer service to our restaurant and central support teams across all channels for payroll and pensions related queries
- Driving efficiencies by exploring opportunities to improve our current processes and sharing your ideas with the Payroll Team Leader Key Systems Used:
- Workday
- Rotageek
- Zendesk
- Unit4
- Rydoo
- MS Excel Key Stakeholders: This role will touch into many different parts of the business, including:
- All Nandocas across both operations and central support
- Finance
- People Teams
- Tech Teams
Experience in a high-volume payroll role, ideally within hospitality or retail. - Passionate about payroll and getting it right every time; exceptional attention to detail
- Enjoys solving puzzles and can find solutions to problems when they arise.
- Have a natural and empathetic written and verbal customer service style.
- Calm under pressure, able to distinguish priorities and hit deadlines.
- Open-minded & collaborative with sound judgment
- CIPP or equivalent qualification ideal.
- Working knowledge of Workday beneficial.

The role comes with a lot of responsibility; paying our Nandocas correctly allows them to focus on creating memorable experiences for customers. This role reports into the Payroll Team Leader and focuses primarily on the largest and fastest paced of our payrolls, for weekly paid Nandocas.
