Full Job Description

Provide and support a comprehensive and professional service throughout the organisation in respect of the payroll function and the co-ordination and supply of services relating to employees pay and benefits. Training provided for all payroll team tasks and responsibilities below.,

  • Provide and support a comprehensive and professional service in delivery of fortnightly payroll.
  • Work closely with acquired practices to gain an understanding of their current payroll processes and penalty structures.
  • Work closely with Payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll data and reports.
  • Testing build of Payroll award - build compliance and governance controls
  • Support continuous improvement in payroll systems and procedures.
  • Adhere to payroll workflow processes and guides.
  • Provide contingency and deputise for the Senior Payroll Administrator
  • Maintain compliance and stay updated with payroll-related legislation and standards
  • Process fortnightly and ad hoc payrolls for a growing workforce, including new joiners, adjustments, leave tracking, processing and reporting. In line with agreed SLAs.
  • Management of Australia Outlook inbox providing timely advice and responses
  • Complete locum superannuation processes within agreed timescales
  • Fortnightly PAYG and Superannuation calculation checks
  • Loan preparation and repayment checks
  • Calculations of overpayments and agreements for repayment, oversee recovery of overpayments
  • Ensuring compliance to award legislation
  • Compliance with business policies and procedures
  • Preparation of data to support IAS and BAS returns
  • Support the preparation of Payroll Taxes and relevant FBT returns
  • Support preparation of audit information.

    Extensive experience of managing data through the use of MS Excel and queries through Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Australia payroll across all states
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support all stakeholders
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and work to set timescales
  • Problem solving & advising employees on queries in a professional manner
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality
