Are you an experienced payroll professional ready to lead and enhance payroll operations in a dynamic, multi-site educational environment? Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership is looking for a Payroll Manager to ensure efficient, accurate payroll services across all Trust schools. In this key role, you'll oversee payroll processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with Finance and HR teams to drive improvements in payroll accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage: Supervise a dedicated payroll team, guaranteeing timely and accurate payroll processing, payslip production, and reporting for all staff.
- Ensure Compliance & Reporting: Maintain current knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, and regulatory requirements. Oversee auditing processes and support accurate HMRC and statutory submissions.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with HR and Finance to align payroll processes with broader Trust needs, ensure clear communication on payroll changes, and foster positive working relationships.
- Financial Accuracy: Provide the Finance Department with critical payroll data for budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
Who We're Looking For: This role is ideal for a CIPP-qualified payroll professional with a strong background in payroll management and team leadership, preferably within a multi-site environment. Essential qualities include expertise in payroll systems, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation., Leadership in payroll operations, including statutory requirements and pensions administration - Strong IT skills, including proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Understanding of Teachers' and School Support staff pay structures is a plus
