Payroll Manager

As a Payroll Manager at Five Guys, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 5,000 employees for both monthly and fortnightly payroll. Your role will ensure every employee is paid correctly, at the right time, while maintaining an efficient and cost-effective payroll function. You'll collaborate with Operations, HR, and Finance to support the company's payroll processes and contribute to continuous improvements in payroll systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 5,000 employees
• Minimise errors and ensure accurate, timely payroll
• Act as a FGP superuser (HR System), maintaining system configurations
• Handle employee queries with confidence, resolve issues, and manage the payroll inbox effectively.
• Collaborate with HR, Ops, and Finance to improve payroll processes
• Complete year-end returns, P60s, and audit requests
• Manage maternity/paternity schedules, AOE's, pension schemes, payroll journals, and month-end reconciliations
  
  You will have a CIPP qualification (or working towards it)
• An in-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Good numeric and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
• You'll be able to juggle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and always maintain confidentiality
• You will be good at troubleshooting, identifying issues, and making improvements to processes
