Full Job Description

Epsom College, an independent co-educational day and boarding school on the edge of Epsom Downs, is looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join the friendly and professional Team. This is an interesting role which is varied and wide ranging working within the Finance Department.

The exciting new role includes supporting the Payroll Manager and working closely with other members of the Finance Team and Budget Holders to provide a comprehensive and effective finance function.

The successful applicant will have experience of processing a large and complex payroll and have up to date knowledge of HMRC regulations. You will have an understanding of accounting principles either through experience or qualification. The successful applicant will be a competent excel user with a methodical approach. You will be self-motivated and highly organised and enjoy working as part of a team. Experience of using Sage or other similar accounts software would be desirable as would working in a similar position within an education setting.
