Full Job Description

  • Administer colleague pension requests, opt outs, and changes for 9000 colleagues on a four-weekly basis across a number of payrolls.
  • Support with pensions auto-enrolment tasks, end of period reporting, contribution files, and returns to The Pension Regulator.
  • Assessing colleagues for inclusion into the company pension scheme in line with auto-enrolment.
  • Reconciliation of pension contributions files prior to submission to pension provider.
  • Query management and resolution to deliver first class service to our colleagues.
  • Write to colleagues as needed under pensions Auto-enrolment guidance.
  • Work with pension provider on year-end sampling and audit.
  • Provide management information on request.

    We are seeking a Payroll Administrator with an understanding of Pensions to join our Pensions Team, as a Payroll Pension Administrator. You will be part of a team who administer Payroll and Pensions for our organisation, consisting of approximately 9,000 colleagues, and this number continues to grow. You should have 2 years' experience working within a payroll environment, and an understanding of pension legislation. The role may also suit an HR Assistant looking to move into a specific pensions role., 2 years of payroll experience, within organisations of varying sizes.
  • Understanding of pension legislation.
  • Previous experience of using SAP payroll solution, however this isn't essential.
  • Highly organised.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written verbal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Packages.
  • Excel - intermediate knowledge (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups).
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Adhere to all GDPR legislation.

    Based in Handforth, Cheshire, the role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2 times a week. This is a 39 hour contract, working Monday - Friday, however we also welcome applicants looking for part time hours.
