Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader within the Payroll Team. Paying the Trust's employees is one of the most important responsibilities of People Services. You'll need to be an authority on payroll policy and systems, managing 5 direct reports and providing a full end-to-end payroll service. We're open to full-time or part-time availability, this will be discussed at interview. What it's like to work here We're bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine. We've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve. We're for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We don't want to stop at 5.5 million members, and we want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to our places, so we need to reach new audiences in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them without losing the hearts and minds of those that are already with us. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there'll be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there's flexibility on where you're based at other times. You'll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This'll be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing As Payroll Team Leader, you'll lead the payroll team and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the monthly payroll. You'll continuously seek improvements to payroll processes and systems and will be responsible for ensuring we meet our statutory and contractual obligations for pay benefits and pensions whilst delivering excellent customer service

There is a duty to tell that history in a complete, balanced and accurate way, and without judgement. The National Trust continues as a guardian of the past, and for the future, to uphold its duty to maintain and enhance what has been entrusted to its care.
