Full Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our developing Primary Care Network (PCN) 3 in North Barnet.

PCN3 consists of 7 GP practices with a population of over 70,000 patients. We enjoy excellent collaborative working relationships. Our practices are all high-achieving and innovative training practices, and our ethos is to develop our PCN with a focus on high quality, holistic patient care. We have a strong PCN leadership team.

Pharmacy technicians play an important role, complimenting clinical pharmacists, community pharmacists and other members of the PCN multi-disciplinary team. Pharmacy technicians are different to clinical pharmacists as they are not able to prescribe or make clinical decisions, instead working under supervision to ensure effective and efficient use of medicines. Their core role and responsibilities will cover clinical, technical and administrative categories.

Preference for full time , but flexible working will be considered.

Please note you must have UK registration or a right to work in the UK. We do not provide any form of sponsorship or work visas, Successful candidates will work within a team, which includes a Clinical Pharmacists ,Social Prescribers, FCP, HWBC and MHPs as well as care coordinators to ensure efficient medicines optimisation. They will undertake patient facing and patient supporting roles to ensure effective medicine use, provide technical and administrative support to the Clinical Pharmacist and clinicians, support the team with queries around medication from patients and complete clinical audits around patient safety in the prescribing of medication

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work well under pressure, with a desire for innovation.

Barnet Federated GPs CIC (BFG) is a not for profit organisation, putting GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of Primary Healthcare provision in Barnet. The Federation is building a large clinical and non clinical team who will work as one in developing Primary Care Services in Barnet for its approximate 425,000 patients and support its Primary Care Networks.
