Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified GP (within 2 years of qualification) to join our team as a PCN General Medical Practitioner. Initially a fixed term contract until the end of March 2025, with a view to extend (funding dependent). You would be required to work 6-8 sessions per week at our busy, futuristic, innovative and modern outlook GP Practice. NMG is a single Practice PCN with over 30,000 patients. We are involved in new projects to change the delivery of Primary Care. We are a training practice, welcoming medical students and registrars. We have an extremely cohesive, welcoming, well-established and diverse team, who provide the care to our patients to include: -

  • 9 GP Partners - all aged between 30 - 55 years of age.
  • 4 pharmacists, 2 pharm techs, 3 trainee APs, 1 ANP, 1AP, 1 PA, 8 care co-ordinators who are responsible and lead on vaccinations, home visits, care home reviews, health checks, cancer care, safeguarding, LD/SMI/SMD reviews, weight management, prescription & triage/access support.
  • Large reception team, IT team, secretarial team, HR team and Finance team to provide support.
  • Experienced nursing team, HCAs, phlebotomist and diabetes specialist AP.
  • Social Prescribing link worker.
  • Excellent integration with community nurses & the voluntary sector.
  • Named Secretary & Mentor for each GP.
  • We offer total triage.
  • Outside/Specialist interests encouraged.
  • System one GP Practice, with AccuRx online consultation.
  • Rated Good by CQC.
  • New premises by Dec 2025., NMG provide the community of Worksop with treatment & advice for a range of minor illnesses, injuries & long-term condition management. We provide the usual range of primary care services including immunisations, with our own Covid-19 Vaccination clinic, contraception clinics, phlebotomy, & minor surgery clinics.
  • You will be working as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the Newgate PCN population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the PCN, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. This role ensures high standards of patient care, promoting health, and improving outcomes through collaboration, innovation, and ongoing development.,

  • You will be expected to see 12 + 12 patients f2f in 15 min appointments. No on calls, visits, weekday enhanced access or weekend duties.
