Full Job Description

  • Supporting in the delivery of advice to clients - with a focus on providing operational solutions via the delivery of services to our clients.
  • Take an active role in a wide range of projects such as:
  • + Data quality analysis with full reporting + Data and benefits due diligence services for insurance providers + Benefit calculation reviews from first principles + Data quality improvements and remediation + Insurer transaction preparation + Benefit rectification exercises + Operation process and control reviews + Administration effectiveness services and supplier transitions + GMP reconciliation and equalisation
  • Working as part of a team, and supporting those around you, including taking responsibility for reviewing work of junior colleagues and training and mentoring more junior members of the team.
  • Assisting managers with the development of new business both with existing and new clients.

    Key technical skills required include:
  • Previous experience as a consultant or Pensions Administrator in a consultancy-based environment. Likely to have experience in a client facing role or have the desire and key attributes to take on a more consultative role.
  • Experience of carrying out and checking manual pension calculations.
  • Experience of checking all aspects of pensions administration tasks.
  • Previous experience in project management or evidence of juggling multiple projects and managing your time accordingly to manage workload.
  • As a challenger in the industry, we are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills and a natural aptitude for a consulting career, alongside a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A great communicator - someone who has the ability to explain complex problems in a simple way to help everyone around the table understand.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation - a great deal of desire of solving problems and providing a great service to our clients.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Competent in the use of IT including word and excel

    Isio is recruiting for a Pensions Consultant to join our Operational Solutions Team where we are at the forefront of enabling schemes to deliver the best outcomes for members.
  • Working with some of the largest and most complex schemes in the country, we support schemes to deliver their strategic goals by undertaking reviews of pension scheme data, benefit calculations, and processes and controls. We are focussed on delivering solutions and positive outcomes to our clients and their members. As part of this role, you'll be working in Isio's Actuarial & Consulting team - over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects, and implementing alternative reward and pension provision.   • Where is the role? We can offer a range of locations for you to choose from - we have Isio offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reading. We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their time between working in the office and at home, with an expectation of 2 -3 days in the office. You may be required to travel to a client site occasionally.
