Full Job Description

  • Support and coach line managers through the employee relations process, including investigations, disciplinary's, grievances and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

  • Support line managers with complex employee related issues, often involving mid-to-senior level stakeholders, balancing organisational needs with employee welfare - escalating to Senior People Partner, where required.

  • Provide guidance on sickness absence management cases, ensuring policy guidelines are adhered to and supporting in managing capability cases where necessary.

  • Build strong relationships with mid/senior-level stakeholders, understanding their business needs and advising them on HR best practices.

  • Act as a trusted partner to leaders, ensuring they receive timely and accurate advice on any people related matters.

  • Support line managers with any recruitment requirements, where appropriate, to ensure consistency and best practice is applied.

  • Collaborate with the Senior People Partner and the L&D team to continuously evolve and deliver learning and development programs, aimed at upskilling and building capability within the Operations function.

  • Work with members of our internal skills matrix team (TIER) to ensure continuous development and best practice.

  • Support on change management initiatives, where required.

  • Utilize the HR Information System (HRIS) to pull detailed data and generate insightful reports for senior leadership and HR teams, which in turn supports with strategic decision-making.

  • Work closely with the Senior People Partner on the development and execution of the Operations People strategy.

  • Support the Senior People Partner with any operational engagement initiatives, which includes leading focus groups / working parties and supporting departmental leads with development of their departmental engagement action plans.

  • Support the wider People Team with any central people initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

  • CIPD Level 3 + (preferred but not essential)

  • Clear and confident communicator, able to communicate with people at all levels, including senior stakeholders.

  • Resilient and being able to deal with, at times, challenging stakeholders.

  • Ability to organise own workload and prioritise where required.

  • Sound attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced and at times, reactive work environment.

  • Initiative and confidence to question and challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
