Full Job Description

As a People Development Business Partner for Canon UK you will be promoting and supporting the development of an agile learning culture by working closely with business stakeholders. The focus of this role will be on further building our Sales Academy. Canon strives to be the place where our Sale professionals build great careers. This will involve learning needs analysis, content design, content creation and delivery. You will need to understand the full L&D offer and coach and support managers to make the most effective use of portfolio in support of employee development and engagement. Create relevant promotional and educational content for internal communications channels. Collate and manage the Canon UK budget submission. Work with HR Business Partners ( HRBP's) to carry out effective Learning Needs Analysis. Validate budget requests and review with PD Manager. Ensure spend is monitored and the use of funds are optimised. Project lead for L&D events. Agree project deliverables with People Development (PD) Manager. Create proposed agenda and engage suppliers to create timetable of events. Create collateral to communicate and promote the event. Define the communication plan. Work with stakeholders to deliver outcomes to defined deadlines. Delivery of generic behavioural skills training. Design and deliver bespoke interventions as required e.g.. Psychometrics workshops. Continuous review and improvement of course content and delivery. Act as a coach and consultant to managers and leaders supporting in the identification of learning needs and the optimal solution as appropriate. Consult with leadership teams on the organisational development implications of business projects. Develop recommendations and interventions as appropriate. Find creative and cost effective methods to meet valid learning needs and make recommendations to PD Manager. Manage the internal mentoring scheme. Review applications and make suitable matches. Check in with "pairs" after click meeting and at 6 months. Obtain feedback and create meta evaluation. Responsible for the local leadership and management curricular. Facilitation of events where appropriate.

You will need to be commercially astute and be able to apply business acumen, be a driver of change and manage change. Your experience of Sales is key - you must understand the Sales mindset and be able to influence senior stakeholders. You will need excellent learning design experience with knowledge of adult learning theory and a passion for end-user experience. Skilled facilitator with a proven track record in delivering successful blended learning interventions with demonstrable return on experience. Awareness of other HR disciplines e.g. resourcing, talent, performance management, diversity, equity & inclusion, and how they interplay with learning solutions. Demonstrates the ability to adopt a consultancy approach to relationships and stakeholders (including within HR) to build trust, shape approaches to learning and increase engagement with People Development activity. The role is very much a team role and we expect those in the team to contribute to create a winning team. With your enthusiasm and excellent planning skills, you will drive for excellent results and be customer centric. You will need to possess strong negotiating and influencing skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. Thriving on working in a fast paced environment, you will have the ability to create innovative and cost effective solutions to issue.
